Ripple amplifies important stories from cities around the world.
Ripple launched in San Francisco and Oakland in February 2016, and is expanding to New York, London, and Cairo.
At its core, the hyperlocal news app is building a global community of storytellers and journalists who believe that everyone has a story, especially the quiet ones.
Ripple was founded by serial entrepreneur Razmig Hovaghimian. Prior to Ripple, he founded Viki, a global TV platform using crowd-sourced subtitling to unlock content for new territories. He was also a co-founder of Embrace, an affordable infant warmer used in the care of premature babies, a non-profit that came out of Stanford Institute of Design.
